My wife and I worked with Dean for our wedding, and he did a fantastic job.  The planning was very straightforward, in that Dean adapted to us.  On issues where we wanted to take control (i.e., picking certain events to include in the reception, such as the apron dance, etc.) Dean did not interject, other than providing us with a non-exclusive list of common events.  On the other hand, when we did want Dean involved (i.e., deciding the best order for the events), Dean readily created a plan and presented it to us.  In both cases, the choice was ultimately ours.

There were no problems with the services.  Dean did not hog the microphone, and when he did speak at the times we designated, he made the crowd laugh while keeping it short and sweet.  The focus was on us, not the DJ.  Dean is a businessman, and focuses on the job rather than his ego.  At the same time, he has considerable experience, and is personable.  When you put the two together, you get what we got – a DJ who was able to create a pleasant ambiance, while remaining invisible except when providing a pleasant segue at the times we designated.

We received feedback from the vast majority of our guests.  Everyone was pleased.  I wish I could point to an example of negative criticism since this email, at this point, probably sounds like a fairytale rather than a credible reference.  Indeed, as a consumer litigation attorney who regularly sues businesses for not delivering on what they advertised, I am typically very critical.  But, simply, my wife and I did not receive any negative feedback about Dean or his services, or even any suggestions about how he could have done better.
